Slam Dunk & 3 Point Contest

The gym at Mission First recently served as the venue for the 3rd Annual Peyton's House Slam Dunk & 3 Point Contest. The students that participated had an atmosphere similar to an NBA contest. Participants ran through a tunnel like NBA players do; lights and fog were also there for added effects. This was a great way to get them excited for the competition. The young men had a great group of supporters there to root for them, encourage them throughout the contest, and cheer them on.

Several volunteers from Peyton's House took on the role of volunteer judges for the competition. We would like to thank Donita Morgan, Kim Kelly, Kim Erickson, Vick Blaylock, and Patrick Lampton for being our judges at this event. We want to wish a big congratulations to the 3 students who won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the competition - Quenterius, Ahmad, and Eshawn. We look forward to having the 4th Annual Peyton's House Slam Dunk & 3 Point Contest next year!
